Tory Burch purses are designed with a by-gone era in mind. The sixti-ish style designs are in rich, vibrant colors and patterns, sometimes tasseled, with pom poms or other whimsical features.
Called by some as “preppy bohemian luxe,” Tory Burch purses are marked by a unique t-logo medallion. Popular with fans of the TV series Gossip Girl, fashion lovers from every generation clamor for her creations. (Tory appeared in one episode of the show as herself.) Wait lists to buy her products in the year 2007 confirmed the success of Tory Burch fashions and accessories.
It is not hard to see how Tory’s “bohemian luxe” style was influenced. She is the daughter of a former American actress and a wealthy investor. She attended a posh high school in Rosemont, Pennsylvaina and then graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in art history.

After graduating from college, Tory left for New York City to work for Zoran, a Yugoslavian designer. She also had a job with Harper’s Bazaar. She later worked for designers Vera Wang, Polo Ralph Lauren and Loewe in advertising and public relations.
Tory began her own fashion label in February of 2004, calling it TRB. The brand name later changed to Tory Burch. There are currently 83 Tory Burch stores around the world with the flagship store located in Manhattan.
